Session work:
Zivanai is available for live and studio session work as a guitarist in genres
including African styles, Reggae, Funk, Blues. R&B, Jazz and others. He
is also available to compose, arrange and produce for mainly African music styles
and other styles as well.
Teaching:
Zivanai is available for individual and group instruction in African guitar
styles, marimba, mbira and Shona singing and culture . He also teaches regularly
at Tribal Soundz in East Village, New York City.Zivanai began his music teaching career at Prince Edward School in Harare in 1998. He has taught at various other schools and workshops including TRIBAL SOUNDZ (New York), St Georges College (Harare), Camp Tumbuka (New Mexico), ZimFest (Oregon) and many others.
He is available to teach
- African and other guitar styles
- Marimba and Mbira
- Shona customs, language and singing to individuals and groups.
Performances:
Zivanai is also available for solo and group performances of Zimbabwean music
such as mbira and vocal, mbira, vocal and guitar, guitar and vocal, and marimba.
He is also available for discussions and lectures on African Music and Zimbabwean
culture and social issues.
Music Production:
Zivanai is available to arrange, produce and compose mainly African music
and other genres as well for various purposes.
